BIT 2025, the unmissable exhibition looking to future of travel

As the tourism industry looks back on a summer dominated by international visitors, the spotlight is already on BIT 2025, a unique opportunity to identify segments and targets to focus on.

It's time to take stock of summer 2024. Cna Turismo e Commercio estimates that more than 32 million international tourists spent at least one night in Italy, +6.7% compared to 2023. And a further 8.5 million are expected to do so later this season. Spending was also record-breaking: in September alone, international visitors will spend over 6 billion euros.

Encouraged by these data, the sector is already looking to BIT 2025, at fieramilano - Rho from February 9 to 11, 2025. In the Leisure Italia area, the presence of the regions is widespread as always, from north to south: from Friuli Venezia Giulia to Puglia, from Lombardy and Veneto to Sicily. The offering from the Leisure Estero area is no less rich: Confirmed participants range from emerging destinations such as Armenia and Romania in Europe, Algeria, Cameroon and Uganda in Africa, or Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Vietnam in Asia, to consolidated destinations both in the short and medium term, such as Croatia, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom, and in the long term, such as Canada, Central America (represented by the Central America Tourist Agency), Madagascar, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.

The Hospitality space is new, with large chains, private operators or boutique hotels. The BeTech area also promises to be very vibrant with players such as Blastness, Fareharbor, Full-Price, Helium, Heylight, Revolut and Slope. Major players in other services, such as AXA in insurance, will also be present.

An innovation that, in its many forms, will also be the main attraction at Bringing Innovation into Travel, the now well-established BIT Talk format, which will range from large-scale scenarios to data and facts to the most technical and specialized topics, under the banner of the macro themes Top Trend, Eco Tourism, AI, Toolbox, Job & Tourism, Startup Innovation and Tourism of Emotions.

To name just a few examples, we will talk about how to tackle overtourism with solutions that combine sustainability and value, artificial intelligence as a tool for experience and personalization, or the evolution from bleisure to digital nomadism. But also outdoor and active tourism, major events, social media and soft skills in tourism.

The full program is available on the BIT website on the 2025 events page.
